Casares is approximately 1:15 from Malaga airport along the coastal roads until the climb up the winding roads to the village iself.
The heart of Casares is the local square where you can find many of the locals enjoying a drink and chat at the numerous Tapas bars and little restaurants.
We will stay in a traditional Casares town house with views over the hills to the coast and beyond on a clear day to Africa.
Once settled into Casares the painting weekend can begin.
As well as painting from the balcony we can take our easels and sketch pads on many magnificent walks all around this historical Spanish village.
The Roman baths make an interesting visit and there are many different vantage points for setting up your easel and painting the wonderful countryside, the views of the village from above and the sealine ahead.
Womenaway are lucky enough to have their own painting teacher who also lives in Casares. She knows the area, the locals, the language and the best places to take you whilst on your stay with us.
The Casares house has 5 large bedrooms each individually designed and 3 bathrooms. There is a terrace which captures the sunlight and is styled with a Moroccan feel to it. Perfect to paint from and also to take an early evening apero.
The living room is spacious, comfortable and cooling for relaxation and reflection.
The kitchen area allows you to prepare your own food should you wish to and where breakfast will be served.
Meals are inclusive. We are lucky to have a very good selection of restaurants in the neighbourhood who will serve us a lovely 3 course meal included in the overall price.
